Re: Happy Thanksgiving WhoDat Nation!

I am thankful for football on Thanksgiving.
I am holding back a major unappreciative rant directed at 6 adults regarding the Green Bay Packers.

Instead, I am searching you tube for 80's clip of Farve walking on the field for an injured Don Makowski (sp)...

They have had is so good for so long...

Meh, we all know what's going on with the Pack this year ... that ship will right itself when Aaron gets back, eh? .

In Wisconsin, there are kids graduating from High School that never experienced "those years". Brett Farve was always the QB until Rogers replaced him. They never knew a bad NFL season from Green Bay.

First, I have much to be grateful for living in Wisconsin. Fresh cheese, fresh beer, clean water and four seasons.

I started to walk away from the Packers in 1998 because of repeated heart breaks in playoffs and high expectations. I discovered the Saints at a Midwest Shriner game at Lambeau during preseason, I liked Ditka and he was the coach.

I learned quickly that it was easy to like the Saints because no one ever expected anything spectacular from the Saints.

Today's Packers, can you say too much dependence on Rogers. Can you say Peyton Manning and the Colts?

Yesterday, after I found and played a clip of pre-Farve Packers, the old timers actually opened up and started to recall the "bad years".

This was good because how can you appreciate what you have if you don't know your history.
Halo and SloMotion like this.

Snap, placement, kick by Hartley, and it is — AND IT'S GOOD!
IT'S GOOD! IT'S GUH-HUH-HOOD! Ha ha ha! Pigs have flown! Hell has frozen over! The Saints are on their way to the Super Bowl!

Ahhh, memories, ... for the longest time the Packers/Lions were both so equally bad, you looked forward to their matchups because it would be a pretty good game, ... the ol' black-n-blue division, dem were da days ... .
