We could easily lose out
All of the teams we have left have defenses that are physical and as good or better than the Seahawks. We have shown time and time again that our offense cannot produce against physical defenses. I think Carolina is every bit as good as Seattle the way they are playing right now and they can easily win out. We seem to always struggle with the Rams, even if they are winless and Tampa is even playing pretty well right now and it's a division game which is always tough. I predicted 9-7 or 10-6 in the pre season and I'm afraid I'm going to be right.

Re: We could easily lose out
Come on... the sky isn't falling.
Its not about the type of defense its all so about match ups as well. No other team in the NFL is built like Seattle. |
Re: We could easily lose out
Not going to happen.

Re: We could easily lose out
I prefer to be more optimistic and hold on to my preseason prediction of 13-3. :bng:
|
Re: We could easily lose out
Thats a great prediction 13 -3. Hell after last year. I'll take it.

Re: We could easily lose out
13-3
12-4 at the worse win division on tie breakers |

We could easily win out as well. Welcome to the NFL in this century.

Re: We could easily lose out
There could be a Zombie Apocalypse tonight but there is no cause to start a thread about it.:bng:
|
Re: We could easily lose out
No way we lose out. Not gonna happen unless we have a catastrophic disaster to personnel.
The Zombie Apocalypse thread is in the "Everything Else" folder. |

Re: We could easily lose out
Didn't we go through this after the jets loss too?

If you don't think the Carolina Panthers are playing as good as the Seahawks right now - I'm gonna part some distance when standing near you...
And that Rams defense has some amazing shut down talent, even with the loss of Cortland Finnegan... And the Bucs, well they acutally have a better quarterback than last time and have found a running game... We are facing a December to remember... |

Seattle has the better qb Seattle has the better secondary (not even close) Seattle has the better receiving core Carolina is a good team but they have weaknesses. Cam will make a couple mistakes a game and their secondary does not cover very well in one on ones. I expect a statement game this Sunday. |

Re: We could easily lose out
Carnival or Crisis....just don't do it. We lost. We have a big game this week. Fans have to come out strong in support of the team and the team will be prepared to play on Sunday. Dallas didn't give up when we smacked them down and neither will we. Lots of football left to be played and I'm excited about it.

Re: We could easily lose out
We're not going to lose out, Dude. That's just silly. We have two games inside the comfortable bubble of our Magical Unbeatable Superdome.
But if you wanted to start a thread that says the Saints will be one and done in the playoffs, the minute they step outside the Dome, whether it's in Seattle or SF or Chicago or Green Bay or maybe even Detroit (it's a dome but it's still in the northern weather), well I would have to chime in and show some love and agreement with that. |

Re: We could easily lose out
Dude, don't worry about it. Every other year since 2008 we go 13-3. Proven fact.
2008: 8-8 2009: 13-3 2010: 11-5 2011: 13-3 2012: whatever, that **** didn't count 2013: 13-3. See? It's a certainty! |
Re: We could easily lose out
I get it now, Dude. You want it both ways: Right in your diagnosis if we lose.... barely satisfied, if we win ( but nothing short of a blowout has you feeling comfortable ).
Well, welcome to parity in the NFL and good luck with your strategy. |
Re: We could easily lose out
12-4 more likely than 9-7. Don't see 13-3.
Need a home playoff game. |

Everyone here knows we could lose any game on our schedule. To lose our last 4, or last 5 in a row is not something we could "easily" do. I suspect we'll go 2-2 at worst, and end up 11-5, maybe 12-4. |
Re: We could easily lose out
Looking at the scheduling left for both us and Carolina, if we don't end up 13-3 or at least sweep Carolina we will be the 5th or even 6th seed.

Duder.... Brother man.... Hoss.... T-Boy..... Cat....
Had you posted that Drew broke his leg, Sean Payton retired, Jimmy Graham went to the Spurs... Pick any scenario where this team has suffered a debilitating loss of personnel or management. And there would be a reason to consider the plausibility of losing out. But if you think I'm buying into any theory that the last 4 games are against teams that are better than we are on both sides of the ball AND coaches you are mistaken. |

That being said I understand your line of thinking. We looked so bad last night I had flash backs of Brooks and Jim doing everything they could to lose games for us. This was easily the worst I have seen us play since 2001 week 17. |
Re: We could easily lose out
...... nah, we're not close to losing out.

We're going to split with Carolina and win the rest. Because I said so.
