Saints bucket list

Remember all of the things that were 'owned' by the Saints?

1-Never had a winning season

2-Never been to the post-season

3-Never won a post-season game

4-Never been to a Super Bowl. I know there are other teams that haven't been to a Super Bowl or won one, but bear with me; I am on a roll here

5-Never won a Super Bowl

6-Never won a road play-off game; (this too shall pass!!)

What window? We got a young talanted defence that will only get better the next couple of years, a QB with atleast 4-5 more good years, the best young TE in the leauge, a great prospect at WR in Stills and the savy veteran in Colston who will be around for a couple of more years atleast. Ain't no window closing here.

That window in the NFL opens/closes year-to-year anyway ... look how many instances of worst-to-first you have every season. It's hard to stay on the top/bottom for any length of time in this league, all you can ask for is a little consistency now & again.

Re: Saints bucket list

#6 has already passed. Feb 7th 2009 we beat the Colts in Miami.

If it's not preseason, or regular season, it's playoffs.

Re: Saints bucket list

Super bowl is a neutral site. Does not count. They were playing Stand Up Get Crunk after touchdowns, at the Super Bowl, fer cryin' out loud.

The real question is, can anyone name a Saints road win, outdoors, in December/January, against a tough, quality opponent, in the Sean Payton era? Anyone care to try? Outdoors. On the road. In cold weather. Against a playoff level team. Anyone?

So then the question begs... Do we have issues playing on the road or do we have issues playing in arenas where the other team has home field advantage?

Neutral is still a road game and road game concerns are usually classified as "not traveling well".

In 2006, on 12-24 the Saints beat the Giants on the road 30-07. The Giants finished 8-8 and made the playoffs as a wildcard team.

In 2011, on 12-11 the Saints beat the Titans on the road 22-17. The Titans finished the season 9-7.
