The big knock on Armstead coming out of college was that he needed to bulk up and put on some pounds before being ready to compete at an NFL level. I'd imagine 7/8 months with our training staff is enough time to add some muscle?

Heartly did not get the ball up. neither DL broke through. they just jumped.

Charles Brown
Bryce Harris
Zach Strief
Jon Stinchcomb

add in
Jimmy Graham
Jed Collins
Brian De La Puente
Malcolm Jenkins
Parys Haralson
Jonathan Vilma
and about a half dozen more

we are still over the cap even with this list of FA we need to sign and/or replace. Hell of a lot of holes to fill. No extra draft choices either.

this is why some of people were screaming in the off season to address this issue on the OL among others. as drew goes so do the saints. that sets your priorities right there. road games prove your an elite team or not.

SP and Mickey are the reason the OL has degraded since the super bowl year, They played to many games and trying to pull a rabbit out of a hat trick over he years has brought us to this.

We are a good team no question about it.
an elite team at home.
on the road proves we are not THE team in 2013

So signing free agents seems like a pipe dream. But something has to be done. Seeing our third round pick actually play a game would give us a better idea were we stand. right now i have him on the bust list and not to be counted on in 2014.

You thought last years off season was fun. then your going to love 2014
