Sometimes I wonder what Payton is thinking

There are things a team can do to slow down pressure on the QB.

Some of those things the Saints do very well, like run screens.

The Saints had decent success running screens, but for some reason the Saints would just quit doing it and start running the ball.

I understand you don't want to get predictable, but why not keep doing it until they stop it?

When the Saints went to a hurry up, a lot of stuff opened up. I realize the Rams had a decent lead, weren't playing for more than pride and could afford to take chances on both sides of the ball.

What got me was they ran twice in a row to the right side and the gains were minimal, the next play was a screen to the exact same side...

They were sitting back, just expecting runs/screens to our right side.

May be the Saints should try to run the option or read-draw against the kittens next week!

option/read draw would require a more mobile than Drew quarter-back, my opinion

I'd settle for just not throwing two picks on our first two possessions.

Considering some of the other crazy crap that Payton does, I wouldn't put it passed him

Maybe SP needs to go back on Vicodin.

I'll tell you what he wasn't thinkin'....he wasn't thinkin' that his gun slinger play calling would be imitated with Fisher's surprise on-side kick. Never forget that imitation is the highest form of flattery, Sean.

Drew looked weird all game. Not focused. Just out of sink. Wtf was that 2nd pick about? There were 3 defenders there. 3!!!! It was weird. Like he was distracted.

And personally, I was thinking we threw too many screens. They aren't a surprise when we throw the same play out 3 or 4 times a drive. Maybe I'm thinking I saw mire than I did, but our screens were even getting snuffed out or just for short gains!
