this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Until I listened to the podcasts of Coach Payton and Bobby Hebert. Having not being able to see the game live, I knew it was BAD, but they make it sound like the rest of this season is beyond hope......

Re: I just thought I was depressed about yesterday...
I am more pissed than I am depressed over yesterday's game.
There is absolutely no reason the Saints shouldn't have beaten the Rams yesterday, and it shouldn't have been close. All week we read the Saints remembered what happened the last time they played the Rams on the road; too bad they didn't also remember WHY they lost to them! I am also getting sick of reading articles and hearing different sports analyst say how smart Coach Payton is, especially when he can't figure out how to beat a team like the Rams. If it takes a shotgun to put down a fly then grab the damn buckshot!! I can remember when the Saints could win on the road, but couldn't win at home and were heavily criticized for it. |

I thought about that Mora speech several times during last night's debacle. It pretty much summed it all up.
That game was horrible. I think we can rebound from it, but yeah, that was a disaster. I'm not gonna lie. |
