Brees fought for every penny. His contract talks disrupted the off season and team unity. Taking less money would have kept Bushrod here, or at least given us a chance to upgrade Brown.
Sorry Drew, saying you have confidence in Brown may seem like the team thing to do, but are you actually confident that Brown can protect you? good move, but doesn't seem genuine
