Jarvis Landry - i stand buy what i said. he is the best well rounded WR coming out of college. I see a lot of Anquan Boldin in his game.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

The sucky part about being a good team is not being able to grab a top ten pick every once in a while...

LB Khalil Mack looks to be a BEAST...

But I'd rather reload than do a Ditka in the draft...

Usually don't like the risk/gamble of a cornerback in the first round, but really like how CB Justin Gilbert, OK St, could add/complement our squad...

Gilbert looks pretty darn good, I liked his work. I didn't look at Mack but I will. And I would not give our picks to get the O-lineman, but if somehow someway he falls I'd take him in a heartbeat!! I hope we trade down for more picks to be honest.

Rams want out of No. 2...

Would it be worth the move up to grab OT Jake Matthews?!?

IMO i sat no. i look at washington trading into 1 if an OL is there. we are not so bad that moving back a few spots and picking up a pick or two would hurt the team.

besides after todays game i think we have LOT.

Its Washingtons pick they are trying to get out of.The last of the RGIII trade.Proven to ve s great trade for the Rams if you really look inti it.

They traded away 2nd overall in 2for Washingtons 6th pick (then flipped that) 2nd rounder and 2013/2014 1st rounders(2nd pick this year).
All together

2012 Traded pick 2 for pick 6 and a second rounder. Pick 6 was traded to the Cowboys for pick 14 and a second rounder.

They got
Michael Brockers DT
Isiah Pead RB
Janorious Jenkins CB

2013
Traded Washingtons pick and there 7th for Atlantas 1st,3,6.Then traded there own 6th and the clowbs for Houstons 5th.

They got
Alex Ogltree LB
Steadman Bailey
Zac Stacy

2014
Washingtons 1st (pick 2)

That is great wirk from the GM

2014 NFL Draft

Hagan and jeanpierre, I want your opinions on something. Of course we don't know what will happen in free agency, but if Vic Beasley and Kyle Van Noy are both available when we pick and we still have a need at OLB... Which one would y'all rather we draft? I've read countless mock drafts and those two seem to be the most common picks for us. I'm leaning towards Van Noy because of his abilities in coverage and he can play ILB if needed.

Beasley from what I see will be gone by pick #17 unless he messes his pants at the combine or at one of the invite games where there's a concentration of talent...

He's the same guy we have in Junior Galette from what I've seen with maybe a slightly higher ceiling; he doesn't warrant a selection by the Saints...

Van Noy is one of those guys who's got the film but GM's may be afraid to pull the trigger in the first or upper second round because he doesn't have those combine measurables to reinforce, explain the argument for selection...

I've always preferred Sammy Knights vs Reynaldo Turnbulls; just gotta see where a prospect can apply his gifts to the game to give him an edge; rather have a guy that makes plays with his smarts and pushing his talents every week to the extreme than wasted "potential"...

If he's there in the third round, I'd strongly consider Van Noy; but where we'll be picking in the third - he should be gone and really like a couple of safeties grading in the second round to transition from the Harper/Jenkins experiment that has failed miserably and to complement Kenny Vaccaro and Rafael Bush so that we shore up the backstop...

For me, those big gashing plays are still fresh in my mind...

Beasly i am not so high on. against some of the top OT in the draft he has played against he has had little impact. i look at lB as players that need to hold there own all game long and not just a few plays ina game. I will give him this: he seems to have that knack for big plays when a game is on the line.

that bring us to Van. i like him a bit better as a steady player. he is hard to judge because like Beasley when he played top competition he kinda disappeared.

if i had to pick from only these two i would cross my fingers and go with Von. reason versatility and pass coverage skills.

there are others i would look at in round one.

FS jumps out at me along with OLB. we need to get bigger and fast.
