urtis Drummond*, S, Michigan State
Height: 6-1. Weight: 200.
Projected 40 Time: 4.59.
Projected Round (2014): 2-4.
12/21/13: Drummond started 2013 in impressive fashion. He made a highlight-reel interception versus Western Michigan and played well against South Florida and Notre Dame. Drummond also stepped up and was very active against Michigan. He has kept up the strong play all season by solidifying the deep middle of the field for the Spartans' defense.

The junior has 86 tackles, six passes broken up and four interceptions this season. He probably would be better served returning for his senior year. Drummond started seven games last year while playing in 13. He totaled 53 tackles with 4.5 tackles for a loss, four passes broken up, two interceptions and a forced fumble.

"Two receivers to the left, Garcon to the right. Manning in the shotgun, puts Collie in motion. Looks in his direction...it's picked off! It's picked off! It's Tracy Porter again! He's runnin' free! He's gonna go all the way!

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

Dee Ford, OLB, Auburn
Height: 6-2. Weight: 238.
Projected 40 Time: 4.70.
Projected Round (2014): 3-4.
1/11/14: Ford was Auburn's best edge-rusher in the Tigers' fast front seven. He ended 2013 with 29 tackles with 14.5 tackles for a loss, 10.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. Ford has excellent speed off the edge with moves to get away from blockers. In the National Championship, he was dominating Florida State's right tackle. Ford missed the first two games of the season. While he is very explosive off the edge, he isn't big enough to remain at defensive end in the NFL. Ford will have to move to outside linebacker.

8/14/13: Ford plays defensive end for Auburn, but he'll have to move to outside linebacker in the NFL. Ford had six sacks with 34 tackles and a forced fumble in 2012. He missed the majority of the 2011 season with a back injury. Ford recorded 11 tackles and two sacks as a freshman.

"Two receivers to the left, Garcon to the right. Manning in the shotgun, puts Collie in motion. Looks in his direction...it's picked off! It's picked off! It's Tracy Porter again! He's runnin' free! He's gonna go all the way!

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

ames Stone, C, Tennessee
Height: 6-3. Weight: 300.
Projected 40 Time: 5.16.
Projected Round (2014): 4-6.
1/6/14: Stone had a mixed year for the Volunteers, but he had some struggles against Florida. Stone bounced back to play much better against Georgia. He didn't play as well against Missouri or Alabama. Sources believe Stone projects to Day 3.

8/7/13: Stone earned a spot in the starting lineup in 2010. The freshman started five games at center and three at left guard. He found a home at center in 2011, starting in the middle for 11 games and once at left guard. Stone played continued to show improvement in 2012 as he was very solid for Tennessee. The Volunteers averaged 475.9 yards per game with 315.6 yards per game through the air last year.

The Volunteers' offensive line allowed just eight sacks in 2012. Stone did a good job of keeping a clean pocket for Tyler Bray. Stone looks like a better pass-blocker than run-blocker at this point, but his run blocking was better year over year in 2012. He may be best in the NFL in a zone-blocking scheme.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

Joe Don Duncan, TE, Dixie State
Height: 6-3. Weight: 267.
Projected 40 Time: 4.70.
Projected Round (2014): 3-5.
12/21/13: The Division II product Duncan is going to get the opportunity to impress NFL evaluators at the Senior Bowl. It is rare for D-II players to get Senior Bowl invites, but Duncan managed to impress Phil Savage and the Senior Bowl selection staff. This season, Duncan caught 71 passes for 1,045 yards and 13 touchdowns for Dixie State - it is in Utah. His career totals rewrote record books with 135 receptions for 1,994 yards and 22 touchdowns.

Duncan is said to have the athletic ability to also execute some fullback and H-back duties. He had a knee injury in 2012 that required surgery, so he will have a significant medical check at the Combine.

Of all the positions to be an obscure prospect, tight end may be the best thanks to unknowns who have become good players in the NFL. Antonio Gates is likely the most well-known example. If Duncan can play well against better competition at the Senior Bowl, that could really propel his stock to the mid-rounds.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

Andrew Jackson, ILB, Western Kentucky
Height: 6-1. Weight: 265.
Projected 40 Time: 4.72.
Projected Round (2014): 4-6.
1/11/14: In 2013, Jackson recorded 95 tackles with 8.5 tackles for a loss, one sack and two passes broken up.

8/16/13: A Lakeland, Fla. product, Jackson grew up in Ray Lewis' hometown and has patterned his game after the future Hall of Famer. Jackson had 109 tackles, 17 tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble in 2011. The sophomore played well against the better competition with 12 tackles and a sack against Kentucky, and eight tackles and a sack against LSU.

Jackson is one of the most physical players in college football as he constantly lays the wood on linemen and ball-carriers. The junior totaled 122 tackles, 16.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks and four forced fumbles in 2012. Jackson held his own against Alabama with seven tackles and 1.5 tackles for a loss. He had a huge game against Florida Atlantic with 19 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, a pass batted and a forced fumble that was returned 75 yards for a touchdown by teammate Quanterus Smith.

Jackson is a thumper of a linebacker. He has good instincts and some quickness. Jackson is extremely physical and has real presence on the field with a big-time demeanor. He needs to show pass-coverage skills and three-down ability as a senior.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

Ciante Evans, CB, Nebraska
Height: 5-11. Weight: 185.
Projected 40 Time: 4.49.
Projected Round (2014): 5-7.
12/21/13: Evans started the season strongly with three interceptions in two games against Wyoming and Southern Miss. He has five passes broken up, 44 tackles, 10.5 tackles for a loss, one forced fumble and three sacks to go along with four interceptions in 2013.

8/17/13: Evans totaled 56 tackles, one interception, two sacks and eight passes broken up last year, but was torched in the Big Ten Championship Game. Returning for his senior season was the smart idea.

Evans was a disappointment in 2011 with seven starts and 13 games played. He was expected to be the complement across from Alfonzo Dennard, but was moved to the nickel position during the season. Evans had 33 tackles on the season with zero interceptions and three passes broken up.

Behind Prince Amukamara and Alfonzo Dennard, Evans was Nebraska's third cornerback in 2010. He showed quality coverage skills in his limited opportunities that season, but did not continue an upward trend in 2011. Evans needs to show more improvement in 2013

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

The next would probably send Danno to the mental asylum ranting about Auburn and polls

Chris Davis, CB, Auburn
Height: 5-11. Weight: 200.
Projected 40 Time: 4.40.
Projected Round (2014): 5-7.
12/21/13: Davis became part of college football history with his 109-yard field goal return for a touchdown to knock off undefeated Alabama and send Auburn to the SEC Championship. While that play was the highlight, Davis has had a quality senior year and landed a spot in the Senior Bowl. He has 69 tackles with 14 passes broken up and zero interceptions in 2013. He has averaged 20 yards per punt return, including a score against Tennessee.

In 2012, Davis had 46 tackles with three tackles broken up. He became a starter as a sophomore and totaled 60 tackles with four passes broken up and a forced fumble. While Davis is dangerous with the ball in his hands, he hasn't shown ball skills during his collegiate career

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

Keith McGill, CB, Utah

Projected 40 Time: 4.48.
Projected Round (2014): 4-6.
12/21/13: McGill notched 37 tackles with 12 passes broken up and an interception this year. He missed the 2012 season with a shoulder injury. McGill will play in the Senior Bowl.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

Dontae Johnson, CB, N.C. State
Height: 6-2. Weight: 195.
Projected 40 Time: 4.52.
Projected Round (2014): 4-6.
12/21/13: Johnson picked up 82 tackles with two passes broken up and three interceptions this year. He was improved over his previous two seasons. For teams looking for tall and long cornerbacks, Johnson will be on their radar. He landed a spot in the Senior Bowl.

Johnson got on the field as a sophomore when he played nickel and linebacker. He had 58 tackles. In 2012 he moved to cornerback and totaled 70 tackles with eight passes broken up, one sack and a forced fumble.
