Re: Terron Armstead To Start at LT
I want to see them run that play they ran once or twice during the Seattle game, I don't think I've seen it since. It was basically, every tight end on the roster, lined up to one side, with a big O lineman in the backfield as a blocker (not Jed Collins, it was a real lineman, I don't remember who). Then they gave it to Pierre and did a variation of the old flying wedge play -- four or five guys, they just violently plowed everybody into one side of the Seahawks line, taking them out, road grading -- and Pierre broke it for nine yards. It looked like a 1920s football play. Gruden was loving it. Does anybody else remember this play?
If things start looking bad, like when it got ugly against Seattle, they should just keep doing THAT play over and over, until they make the Panthers or Seahawks find a way to stop it. Then go back to passing. |
