Starting Armstead - Good move?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; He will put out the effort. For whatever reason, it looked like Brown wasn't against the Rams. He wasn't just out-talented, he was out-worked. You don't have to be great to keep the defenders of Drew. But, you have to ...

Payton seems to have more confidence in Armstead, has to be logical reasoning behind it...

I would say that if Armstead started out of the blue then he is playing good consistent football. If he is started because Brown is having issues; while he may be playing better ball than Brown, he is starting because he is the lessor of two evils.

Cutting Hartley & Carr benching Brown & starting Armstead. Where are the rest of the moves to improve the Saint's team. DLP is absolutely horrible and White couldn't cover a baby with a blanket. The moves that were made may have been necessary but what about the ones that needed to be made and weren't.

Disagree on DLP being horrible. He's average to slightly below but IMO he and Brown were certainly the weak links.
You could not be more wrong about White. He's gonna be a quality starter for us for a long time. His occasional mistakes are correctable.

The only reason White is on the field is bc of injury to Greer & Robinson. Brown & DLP are average to slightly below average but brown gets benched but DLP still has a spot " Really" !!!!!!!!!! Average to below average with a 100 million dollar QB to me would be unacceptable.

Horrible does not equal average to below average, really.

Brown got benched because he played badly and we have a young promising LT on the roster who the coaches think gives us a better chance to win.

But if you wanna bench DLP go right ahead. I'm sure there's a probowl Center waiting on his couch for someone to call and sign him.

Chill out. You post something absurd its gonna get called out. Grow thinker skin or find another forum.

Here's a thought, quit posting dumass comments and you won't get called out for it.
