Prevent Defense. Final drive prevent defense with less than a 7 point lead cost us the game against the Patriots and Panthers. Panthers (5 plays 65 yards :32s) http://www.neworleanssaints.com/sche...2013/regular16 Patriots (8 plays 70 yards 1:08) Other than the final drive there were no scoring drives that were shorter than 3:46. http://www.neworleanssaints.com/sche.../2013/regular6 In both of those games had we played defense in the last 2:00m like we did in the first 58:00m we are 12-3. |
Re: Sean Payton's play calling
I still believe in Payton. Now weather he is a better playcaller than Carmichael that is 50-50 in my book.Have teams picked up on what we are doing?yes. Payton is not going with what is working in most games including ones that we have won, it seems he is using a script like a line in the movies with no flexability to it. I think he should go with whats working at the time to make D's adjust to it then change it up from there. If a team has a weakness he can still exploit it. If our run game is working, stick with it, short passes work, stick with it, deep ball, you get the picture. If only one reciever is getting open use him, thats what he does for his living. This is the only season that I have not felt the excitement since he has been our coach but at the same time this is the first time our playbook looks like a movie script, mix it up man, go with the hot hand,I still believe in you.

I did not see any GM's rushing to pick up Carmichael in the off season. Quote:
I'm pretty sure God isn't trying to manipulate players so that His favorite team wins every year. Don't you think that the Saints would be His favorite team every year? |
