Now there is a subjective aspect to this and Payton Manning coming out if the game with just one yard above Drew's record tells me two things. 1. He is an idiot. He let the referees decide. 2. He agrees that no one knows what would have happened on the next play. Manning him self chose not to take the risk of one more pass. Records are risk/reward. Re: Did Peyton really break Drew's record?
The only thing that gets me about it all is where are all the whiners complaining about how Manning padded his stats? Thats all we heard when Drew broke the record. Its fine when their boy does it but no Saint's player should have a gaudy record like that so we, the media and other fans, have to diminish it.
