You are so far out in left field you're in the parking lot dude. None of the other stuff you mentioned costs the team 15 yards. And it wasn't a blow-out it was 7-0 and in the 1st quarter. I don't know if you just don't understand, or you're now trying to deflect because you realize you're wrong. |

Re: Inspiration for Lance's Last Dance.....
Bottom line...7-0 in the 1st Qtr and we give an inferior opponent 15 yards. It was soon 7-7 with giving up field position. Against an inferior opponent.
My opinion (as if it matters): any unnecessary celebration dance that causes a disadvantage to your own team is the essence of STUPIDITY. Think his defensive teammates or special teams folks liked giving up 15 free yards? To an inferior opponent...in the 1st Qtr of a must-win game to get into the playoffs? Bush League and idiotic, selfish and moronic. |

If we wanted to make a statement with swagger and saying "we got this", I think most of us would agree the best way to accomplish that would have been: Morestead kicks from the 35 and sends it through the end zone on the kickoff for the touchback, the defense never lets TB get a yard for a 3-and-out, we get the ball back around the 35 yard line, then march down 65 yards and take a 14-0 lead in the 1st Qtr. Instead of 7-7, it's 14-0. Going into the playoffs, any 15 yards is too valuable to shart away for something as selfish and petty as a TD celebration dance. But maybe I'm old? |
