Got one of the top CB's in the draft in Dennard. Has the size and speed we need.

Next, I picked up the tall, athletic, fast and rangy ILB we've been lacking to really make this 3-3-5 defense take off. Oh, and improve our tackling problems on defense too.

I think I got great value on a speed receiver here and another offensive weapon to keep our O at the top of the league.

Couldn't believe Pierre was still here and it never hurts to have plenty of guys at CB with all the injuries and would allow us to get rid of PRob. or White. Lets face it guys, they may be ok or even good, but we need better and we need it now.

Next, I hedged our bets with the OLB from Bama in case the guy we got from Dallas doesn't come all the way back. Insurance is a good thing.

I'm all for Tim Lelito, but lets face it. Depth, Depth, Depth. We need it.

Lastly, you guessed it, I took an insurance policy at WR too. Can't have enough good players.

Ok, so what do you think??

Like it, but no way Dennard is available at 27.

"Aint it cool?!?"

Guessing you want to solve WR and CB in one draft?!?

Re: Mock Draft Simulator

Glaring needs vs tweaks
A bunch of folks here keep looking at the defense with a bunch of draft picks. Right now, I'd say our defense -especially with the FA signings- is far better than our offense. We have some glaring needs out there we really should consider. Here's how I rank it:
1. We need an NFL ready center. We need the best center available in the draft. Period.
2. We need a foot. Too many of our games are being left up to the foot of one guy. We need the best out there. That should put 2-3 more W's in our column alone.
3. We need some hands. Our guys are getting old and we need someone who can get open and have the ball actually stick in their hands. Fortunately the draft is deep in these guys this year.
4. Then after that we can look at tweaking the D which will rate out better than the O this year if we don't get some fixes in.

; Your story isn't over yet ;

Re: Mock Draft Simulator

I still think we need a OLB/DE this year. You cant just leave it to Jordan and Junior. Galettes sacks come in fits and starts so we need to make sure we still get pressure.

Re: Mock Draft Simulator

Surprised to see some major news sources (not being Bleacher Report and Yardbacker), having mock drafts of Jordan Matthews selected in round 2 to teams after our second pick...

IF Matthews is there in Round 2, don't be surprised Payton selects JM, if not Round 1...

Two centers and two WR's in this draft? What a beauty, eh? I'm liking that Boswell pick as well.
