Do they have a defensive coach of the year award?
??? If so Rob Ryan should have it now and its not even close. It takes much more than luck to turn a defense around from being dead last and the worst defense in NFL history to a top 5 defense. And he has done it without totally cleaning house on defense using 90% of the same talent.
I wonder how long it will be before one of these teams comes knocking on his door for a head coach position. Do you think he will stay? If we win the Super Bowl I think the chances of him leaving would be greater, but I hope he is here a while. |

I'm thinking when SP retires Rob can take the wheel.
What an egotistical mistake Jerry made letting him go and that's what it was all about ego! |

Re: Do they have a defensive coach of the year award?
TBH I wanted Romeo Crennel, but wasnt disappointed in Rob Ryan signing off the sheer fact of what games I have seen him in as DC with Cleveland and Dallas, IMO he looked to take charge of things more than the Head Coach did.
Call it coincidence I guess, but Rob Ryan for 3-4 years has intrigued me before he came to New Orleans, one of those guys you follow every now and then and then unexpectedly hes on your team. Like prior you were watching the future much like when we saw Drew Brees in San Diego. |

I think Ryan actually enjoys the element of managing defenses
Kicking tail and taking numbers No crap press conferences Head off to Miss Maes Scary where he will be with a summer and draft and free agents next year |

Rob deserved the award months ago
I hope he is here for a while, we have needed a fundamentally sound D for a while and our D has outplayed our offense all season If only our 2011 offense showed up with this D, they would just give us the trophy without playing the game |
