Ditch Ingram…
Keep Khiry and PT, sign MJD as a role player.

Unfortunately, I think PT and Sproles are the odd guys out. but who knows. All i know, is it seems we have too many cooks in the kitchen.

We just played more balanced football. 2 players in rotation, more carries. Healthy PT would have same numbers with those carries. (if ingram/khiry was out) He is the most versatile back we have. You can always find cheap north and south RB with less skills. Finding PT replacement is not an easy task. If we can get a good pick (3rd, 4th round) then I would trade Ingram. Khiry is way more talented and I see greatness in this guy.

I think we can do better with that type of money.
PT is 3 million, no dead money
Sproles is 4.25 million with only 750K in dead money (we'd save 3.5 million)

So if we release both we'd save 6.5 million.

Is it worth the savings to release them?

Agreed, but #9 needs to take the FIRST haircut if he wants a quality team around him.

Wouldn't it be great if, to go with this defense, we had a punt return threat?

I think that has a lot to do with the lack of punt return blocking... Cadet had a couple good returns this year(kick, not punt). With some decent blocking he could do both rather well I think

One will be traded. Which one who knows. PT is the oldest but Mark will be in his last year of his contract. If I were to guess it would be PT. Should get a 3rd for either one. Depending one what Cadet does in the off season Sproles may be gone as well. I could see a 3/4 rd for him also.

I think we keep Thomas as a primary mixed with Khiry and Sproles doing what he does. Ingram showed up but i like to use him for a decent draft pick.

We keep Pt ,Robinson and Cadet and while looking at more FA's. Sproles still has good trade value.

Khiry isn't going anywhere. PT isn't going anywhere. Mark is a FA isn't he?

Tell you what - Mark Ingram is a dang good running back when the o-line gives him enough time to get the ball in his hands. Time and time again, while everyone was railing on the guy, he was trying to dodge people in the back field.

I would love to see those 3 guys on the team next year, with a better center and a renewed commitment to the running game.
