That may be a tough loss. I remember a radio interview with Loomis (may have been Payton or Brees, I can't remember) and he said teams have come after him before and we've been fortunate to keep him here.

I think the Saints think very highly of him.

He's been a target for years. I think the Saints blocked him from interviewing last year. If I remember correctly. Solid position for him in Detroit.

They do think very highly of him for a number of reasons, one being his tenure since 2007. What is interesting is that he didn't become a QB coach until 2009.

Now how much it will hurt is depends on who you feel is Drew's coach... Is it Joe? Is it more Sean and/or Pete? I don't see it as a huge loss as much as I see it as an opportunity to get a fresh set of eyes on Drew.
