Re: Morten Anderson not included in Hall of Fame

The leading scorer in the history of NFL is not in the Hall of Fame.

The only person in the history of the game to be the leading scorer for two different teams.

And the reason he isn't in the Hall is because he was a kicker in a game called football.

It's almost too stupid to believe.

What did Aeneas Williams do that was HoF worthy? Looks like they are starting to let just about any and all get inducted

...the NFL's All-Time Leading Scorer...

And he wasn't just any kicker, he was hitting scores from 50+ yards regularly...

Paired with that incredible defense, he brought the Saints out of purgatory to respectability...

If we'd had a Sean Payton caliber coach then, I have no doubt we'd seen 65+ yard scores as well...

Ask NFL alum "of all eras, if you can pick one kicker to kick a fifty yard field goal attempt to win a game for your team, who would it be?"

Morten Andersen is a Hall of Famer, even if he screwed the fan base by going to Atlanta when trying to stick it to Benson & Co. for stupidly letting him geaux...

No arguments from me my brutha, I totally agree, just stating what I've noticed from the HOF process. I believe he should have been a first ballot no-brainer, but it doesn't surprise me that he's not…with the history of the Hall.

Have to disagree with you there my friend. Aeneas Williams was an all pro several years, and made tons of pro bowls too. He was a shutdown corner and a playmaker. He lead the league in interceptions twice and consistently played at a high level all the way up until he retired. He definitely deserves to be there.

What a f***ing embarrassment to the "shield"...

He played for NY... Giants.
And Atlanta
And Kansas
And Minnesota

He played some where else nearly just as long as he played in New Orleans -1 year.

His 50+ yard accuracy was 47%.

Anderson isn't in because the records he holds took 25 seasons to get and in those 25 seasons he didn't own any or many single season records.

Yea.. He sucked.

Williams, a four-time All-Pro and eight-time Pro Bowl selection, intercepted 55 passes for 807 yards and 9 touchdowns during a 14-season career with the Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals and St. Louis Rams. - See more at: http://www.profootballhof.com/enshri....DAOHqw4z.dpuf

Hold on there Ragin, never mind that Aeneas Williams is from New Orleans and dominated at Southern because LSU had morons running the show then...

This guy dominated on an awful team, Jerry Rice, Herman Moore, Tim Brown, Sterling Sharpe had pedestrian days when they played the Cards...

Like Archie, Aeneas was an elite talent stuck in an awful organization...

I only recognize half the names on that list, ones I do I dont even know if they deserved to be in it over Andersen.

my take. Even Strahan is questionable IMO this early on.
