Greedy for wanting to get paid what market value says you're worth?

I disagree. Its not greedy at all. Its the free market.

I'm willing to pay him top dollar as a tight end when he learns how to block somebody. Until then, he's a glorified receiver. Injury or not, he was shut down after the Patriots game and became a regular corp receiver.

I'm looking for tag status here. Not gonna be popular but Tom Brady and the Patriots made it to the AFC championship game with a group of no-name receivers all season long. If it doesn't work with Graham, there will be another. We're BIG TIME over salary cap and that has to come down somewhere.

I hear over and over that Drew Brees makes his O-linemen and WR's look much better than they actually are.

No one really says that about Graham.

Just an observation.

Just an observation.

That's because they make each other look better.

So is Graham really the best TE in the NFL? Or is Brees responsible for making a top 10 TE look like the best?

Would Graham be considered the best TE in the NFL if he was on the Cleveland Browns?

Wonder what his stats would look like then? Or the pounding that he would take, he would have to toughen up then? If he leaves he better hope he gets on a contending team, because he might not do so well if he don"t. A product of our system is what he is.

Re: New Orleans Saints' Jimmy Graham mum on tight end/wide receiver debate as contract talks remain slow

It takes some for both sides, Grahams' and Saints', to iron out all their wants and sticking points.
I can understand it being a slow process.

Graham is that good, young, and the Saints have invested time and money in developing him. He has invested time in this team and a team with many good players.
I trust Loomis and the Bensons, will work it out to keep him.
Why not try or want to after all the time in him. To get another guy and start all over, is a waste. A gamble. It always is.
For Graham to go to another team, one not so successful as these Saints, would not be good for him.

The stats show that Graham is clearly a top 10 receiver. If the Saints don't want to pay him as one, another team will.
