For the second time in the last three years, New Orleans failed to reach the NFC Championship, despite having one of the top offenses in the NFL, but that doesn't mean the front office will look to just upgrade the defense this off-season.

With Drew Brees leading the way, this team will rely on the passing game and big plays in 2014, but with opposing defenses double teaming Jimmy Graham, finding another play maker on the outside is imperative.

Kenny Stills had a good year for the Saints, but the team lacked that big receiver that could help the offense in the red zone and that has led to several rumors since the 2013 season ended on possible free agent signings.

The latest rumors come from J.R. Ella of SB Nation and he reports that the team should go after Eric Decker. The 26 year-old had a terrific season with Denver this past season and despite his failure to make a big impact on the Super Bowl, fans and football experts can't ignore his nearly 1,300 yards in receiving and eleven touchdowns for the Broncos this past season.


The New Orleans Saints still have that window of opportunity to win another Super Bowl, but finding Brees some help and continuing to upgrade the defense this off-season will be key and signing a wide receiver like Decker could be the move that puts this franchise over the top in 2014.

And if he has impressed like this guy says he has and is coming off of a 1300 yard season he will be looking to sign a decent contract. Not saying I would be opposed to it but I just don't put much stock in what this dude says.

Not sure how that's going to help even if just entertaining the idea. Anyone ever notice how having an elite /high dollar receiver is synonymous with losing. It looks good on paper but on the field it never materializes. Have to have strong lines like Finks use to say and that's what hurt us this season; the OL. Besides, the NFL has turned a blind eye to PI and refuses to address the problem. Better blocking trumps PI.

Unless he would backload the deal till after Colston dead money is lower or if no deal could be done for Graham then i just dont see this.
As things stand this is the free cap space for some sides,somebody will pay him.Maybe Giants,Bucs or Packers would be the best fits

decker is interesting but is he a product of the manning system? some of indi wr under manning were very productive. but when they signed else were most did not live up to the contract
