Haven't we gone over this before?

The league office does not pay taxes, all 32 teams do (collectively around 400m/year). If the league office lost its status it would only pay another 10m on top of that.

Something you may not know:
The Saints owe their team to the NFL's tax exempt status. Senator Russell Long bartered the franchise for tax exempt status and a no antitrust ruling when the NFL and AFL merged.
