Where should the New Orleans Saints look for a backup quarterback?
The NFL free agency scramble begins March 11. And despite a bump in the salary cap number, the New Orleans Saints aren't expected to be big bidders this year.
As Larry Holder mentions in the initial offering of our look at free agents at each position group, the Saints have some work to do in holding on to their own players. Part of that job will be to fill the impending vacancy in the backup quarterback position. Luke McCown is slated to become an unrestricted free agent. And despite mutual interest from both sides about a return engagement, an agreement has not been reached. So, the question goes to you. What should the Saints do to back up Drew Brees in the 2014 season? Should McCown be re-signed? Should Ryan Griffin be given a chance? Or should another established veteran be brought in to handle that spot. Where should the New Orleans Saints look for a backup quarterback? | NOLA.com |
