Strief will become free agent
The New Orleans Saints and right tackle Zach Strief have continued to express a mutual desire to keep Strief in New Orleans, according to Strief’s agent Ralph Cindrich. However, Cindrich said the Saints are not in a position to make an offer at this time, so Strief will become a free agent on Tuesday.
Strief That’s not a huge surprise, since the Saints are obviously looking to control costs as much as possible this offseason while being slammed tight against the salary cap. As I’ve written before, I think they’d like to have Strief back at the right price. But he could certainly wind up elsewhere if another team is willing to outbid them. The same goes for their other two unrestricted free agent starters -- center Brian de la Puente and safety Malcolm Jenkins. Zach Strief will become free agent - ESPN |
