Too bad...
... a blowout today and JH might have been gone. As I said before the game this week, don't go thinking this team can accomplish anything. Before you do, remember this:
1100+ - yards given up by our defense against TWO teams (Vikes/KC) 54 - first quarter points given up by the Saints in the last 6 games (we've scored ZERO) 300 - total yards of offense today in the FIRST HALF 141 - Yards rushing given up in the FIRST HALF 16 - times Deuce touched the ball despite the fact he was AVERAGING 11 yards per carry through the 3rd Quarter. 2 - Losses by the Falcons. Even if the Saints could pull off a miraculous win next week against Denver, AND Atlanta somehow loses to the Giants (both unlikely IMO), the Saitns would enter the Week 12 show down with ATL at 5-5, Atlanta would be 7-3. Even if the Saints could beat Atlanta in their house, the Saints would STILL be a game behind in the NFC South. Too many IFs. The Falcons aren't going to fade. Besides, even if they do and this Saints team makes it to the playoffs - do you really want this team playing GB or Philly or St Louis (again)?? I don't. I want Haslett OUT. |
