that's for sure the best news i've got today! the BYRDMAN wears black & gold for the next 6 years...unbelievable!

graham's contract situation is now something for mulder and scully! x-files revival!

with the signing of byrd, i think the saints should go after a no. 1 wide receiver in the upcoming draft and of course for an athletic and speedy linebacker.


still cannot believe the news....ryans D will level up immense with this signing.


looks like i have to book a flight soon from vienna (austria) to nola. wanna watch a game in the dome next season!

offense is now no. 1 priority. that's for sure! with wr as one of the biggest needs!

Its amazing that top players want to play for us! I would love to have been a fly on the wall to hear the conversations that went on. There are other top teams that would have given him the same money with a chance to get a ring......why the Saints? Environment and coaching staff maybe?

Just watched an interview with byrd and he said that the reason he liked us immediatedly were the things that the coaches said - Rob Ryan will play him to his strengths like he does with all our defense, SP wants a turnover machine to give the ball back to the offense because we havent had one since 2009

Jairus also said he was swarmed by texts telling him how great of a DC rob ryan is, from retired vets to coaches to players still active - ultimately gave him a great feeling about our team

Interesting that the Broncos were going to pitch to Byrd. I guess RR talking to him was all he needed.

Easy decision... Do I want to be part of the 2013 4th ranked defense or the one that let Dallas put up 48 points?
Do i want to play in a dome or freez my azz off in thin air? I left Buffalo because it was freezin arse cold.
