That was a great interview. I was surprised at how soft spoken he is.

There wasn't a whole lot of juicy content though.

Stephen Ridley and Shane Vereen are right, they laughed when they mentioned us being fourth against the pass..... we have the back end corrected, except for a corner to compete with corey white.... but you can run on us all day. Drafting the right LBs will stifle the ability teams have to run against us....

If we add Anthony Spencer we become the best defense I can feel it. I think it was Shaun O' Hara who talked about how the Byrd signing tied everything together and mentioned under-appreciated names like Gallette and Lewis. It gave me butterflies thinking about how raw this is going to be.

I think Snyder will over pay for him to become a Redskin.

2013 was 10 yards better than 2009. A lot of great RBs didn't run on us at all.

I haver not looked at the game by game stats but i seem to remember the run defense being more inconstant than bad. There was some really good games and other days(jets) they got smashed on the line and took a beating.

Rushing Yards against

Falcons 88 Yards
Buccs 180
Cards 86
Dolphins 115
Bears 94
Pats 141
Bills 88
Jets 198
Cowboys 89
49er 81
Falcons 91
Seahawks 127
Panthers 128
Rams 144
Panthers 81
Buccs 75

You drop the Buccs,Pats,Rams and Jets off the list and its very respectable 95.25 yards per game over 12 games compared to the 111.6 yards per game that was averaged over 16 games. Over 30 ypg better than the year before so hopefully take off another 10 ypg and we are on par with the Seahawks 101.6 for 7th best in the league.

Byrd interviewed on NFL Network. Soft spoken and respectful, He fits well with the Colston mold of allowing skill set do the speaking.

I like it.

His intelligence and eloquence didn't surprise me. The soft spoken did.
