I liked him at Ole Miss and followed him up through the draft process. Definitely thought he'd be more dominant. I think it's complacency. That year with him, Mike Wallace, Green - Ellis, McCluster, and Greg Hardy was a good time for that program. A program I despise. But since I'm in Mississippi always have to hear about.

Re: Saints re-sign Zach Strief

well this is better than we had before we signed him.
I guess OC is left now. DLP or draft?
still need to address OL depth

well as i thought he is a saint through and through. when he hands over the starting spot he cam be a hell of swing man till he hangs up his cleats

I got a Facebook alert about this. The commentary from armchair GMs on Facebook is almost completely disparaging, which is ridiculous.

I had to come on here for some sanity.

Job done, thanks you all.

Just wait a few years when that teams gets screwed over cap wise, you can't kick the salary cap tomato can down the road forever.

they are screwed now. they were screwed right before march 11th. yet somehow they signed byrd, was able to say they kept sproles (which means they were over the cap), but after byrd they were less then a million in space, and now today they pull this off.

what are they doing paying people dimes their first year?

next response

You have no idea how pathetic this is.

Our biggest rival and we are so dominated by them that we don't even dare suggest we are gonna beat them this coming season. No. Instead, we revel in how the cap monster is gonna step in and take care of them for us.

This fan base needs an enema.

Re: Saints re-sign Zach Strief

I've started to realize just how lazy other GM's are. Loomis isn't afraid to put in a little extra work coming up with creative ways to structure contracts and keep the team competitive every year despite so-called "cap issues." I see a team like the Panthers sitting on $8 million and watching their roster get decimated all because they're worried about resigning guys next year. It's pure laziness on the GM's part.

The funny part is that Cam will probably leave next year because their team will do poorly next year and a potential contender will throw him a big bone

Remember he hasn't had a payday in Carolina yet
Where's the loyalty

Re: Saints re-sign Zach Strief

I can see him walking too,the franchise tag this year is close to $17ml so it would be costly to keep him.I wonder if we see a trade for him if a QB goes down

And like I said, their GM isn't smart enough to structure his new contract to reduce the cap hit in year one.
