That is exactly what I understood as well. He knows he no longer is the top dog as far as CB's but he knows how he can help Keenan reach a level that will benefit not only The Saints but himself. I mean Champ on a #2 or #3 receiver is Champ all day. Keenan was already a #1 now with Champ to improve his technique its a wrap!! I just want Champ to stay healthy and we're automatically better than last year.

Im not over the moon, but I get it. It does so much for us in terms of leadership, depth, training of younger DBs who can be coached up. I think for the most part we get the most out of champ by not characterizing which receiver he lines up against... He'll be placed on everyone... fill in here and there coach up the young Dbs including Keenan. It also means Saints won't have to rush to draft a DB to fill what they feel is there most pressing need, and the DB that they bring in for that #2 spot ( Hopefully Stanley Jean Baptiste ) will get a model view of what a class act DB looks like...

I can remember when we were looking at signing him about 4 years ago, but Denver wasn't ready to let go of him. Here is an interesting question though: is he better than Revis?

Good question. I have a feeling Revis was just in the wrong system with the wrong team. I think he will be better this year.

Nah. He's not better then Revis. Career vs career though, Champ is second only to Prime for me.
