All the changes we have made this season makes me fell very excited about the upcoming season. I think we have made some great moves in FA so far and will soon get a deal done with JG. Our defense does not worry me one bit.
One thing I think a lot of people are not commenting on is our WR position. I think everyone knows its a need, but I think it is a major need. I think we could possible be in trouble there. All we have is basically two starters at the WR position and one of them is a TE and the other a possession receiver. Both Colton and Jimmy are great but they both have had their injury problems and Colston is getting old. After that there is a huge drop off. Stills looks promising but has only been in the league one year. I don't know how comfortable I would be if Colston went down and he had to start in his place. Joe Morgan is the same way. He showed flashes but is still sort of an unknown. If JG or Colton or got forbid both go down we will be screwed. I know we will go WR in the draft at some point but rarely do you get a rookie WR that is a great contributor his first year. IDk maybe I am just used to seeing 3 or 4 guys out there I know they can count on to step up. |

Like always; someone will step up and take the place. Nick Toon perhaps...

Re: WR
I think we have a good receiving corps but I'm not counting on Colston. I might even think about trading into the 1st round for another pick. Maybe our 1st next year and a sixth and 7th this year to get a wr and de/olb that can make an immediate impact

Re: WR
I just hope they don't decide to draft Margise Lee. Pretty much Every USC WR in the last 10-20 yrs have been huge disappointments that includes Meshawn Johnson. I'd rather them try and trade up and go after Mike Evans from A&M if we go for wr in round one he's the most physical wr I've seen in recent memory.
My real feeling is While I agree we need another WR we need to spread the ball around to our WR's more instead of just looking for Jimmy on every play.I get Jimmy is a mismatch but really try being alittle less predictable in the passing game cause its Jimmy or a screen pass to the back |

Re: WR
I said this on another thread, but I'd like to get Kelvin Benjamin. Him, Colston, and Graham, are all really big. I think it would be hard for defenses to match up with that personnel wise.

Re: WR
Don't forget the UDFA's that the Saints are able to sign. Every year we find a gem. I hope we keep it up.
