And I think it was said, or claimed to have been said, when he signed his 5 year extension. I'm starting to hate those bloggers that phrase speculation as fact. One year later you remember the topic, but forget that it was pure speculation and not fact. |

Cam Newton is up for his first big payday next seasom ;-)
He might actually want to throw to some receivers |
Re: Saints next QB discussion
We trade away all of the next ten year's worth of draft picks for Manziel and Bortles thus relieving every Saints forum anything to talk about between February and July for the next decade.

Re: Saints next QB discussion
Around here the 'experts' are saying Aaron Murray is in the Brees mold and could go mid round.
I personally would like to see a couple of options for the future, but it's difficult to keep a 3rd QB. (this should be addressed in the next CBA) |

Correct me if I'm wrong but drafted QB's = Sean Canfield.

Re: Saints next QB discussion
Green Bay drafted Aaron Rodgers in the first round with the 24th pick and sat him behind Brett Favre for three (3) seasons...
San Francisco traded a second and fourth round pick for Steve Young To Tampa (who drafted Vinny Testeverde) and sat him for nearly four seasons before dumping Montana to start Young... So saying a guy should start within one year seems foolhardy; if you've got a quality guy who can sit and develop behind a quality NFL starter that you're winning with, then why not do it?!? |
