I see them going cb late. Possibly Chris Davis or Colvin in the 5th. WR, OT, C and LB need to be addressed first. PRob sucks but he will be at best #4 on the depth chart.

Except he was the #2 corner until injured last year... He stays healthy he is better than White. He'll compete with Bailey for the #2 spot...

If we get 4 a piece from them coupled with 5 or 6 from Byrd....

Re: Patrick Robinson

I like Patrick, but as a corner he doesn't use his technique enough. He tends to stay too high in his backpedal and sometimes fails to even attempt to jam the oppossing receiver instead he relies on his speed to compensate. This unfortunately was the knock against him when he came out of College and he doesn't appear to have changed. He will always be that great player who will always have the What If attached to his career like Jeff George. I'd rather we trade him and draft either Fuller, Gaines or Desir. Thats just my opinion though.

No Ingram has to show and prove this season also, but Patrick had the starting job to himself in his 2nd year, Ingram has never been the 1st option in the running game to be fair.

Ball has not done a thing so i do not count him beyond last Safety on the depth chart.

If the saints went a safety I would think Deone Bucannon would be the pick over Pryor. He's the faster, more productive and has better range than people give him credit for. plus i think he is the best tackling and hardest hitting safety in the draft. draft a player like this the saints can have probably the one of the best S rotation in the NFL . besides Kenny is not exactly a turnover machine. I think they used him last year in a way that best suits his skill set. Kenny is great at getting into players heads and knocking them around in the first five yards. add in another ball hawking safety like Deone would not hurt the group one bit. Bush and Deone together could start if any body goes down with injury. just think of the flexibility that would offer.

the same goes for CB. Verret is the only CB after Dennard that can hang in the first round in man coverage. I am warming up to Fuller but man coverage worse me a bit here.

Verret man on man with all them small fast slot WR all game long would be a great addition. That is his value. He is the best CB in the draft to deal with sub 6'1" speed demons one on one.

After that its all about development (man this draft has it share) and flexibility. Donte Johnson would be next on my list. over 6'2" and runs a sub 4.5 but has played every position in the secondary in college. There are other pure CB sure but not as flexible. kill two birds with one roster spot

Robinson would be safe either way besides when was the last time a CB in the NFL actually started all 16 games? very few. they always get dinged up. hammie here ankle there. plus he is in the final year of his contract so if does get injured again he is prime cutting material. only half of his final year would count as dead money if he does go down to another serious injury.

here is our depth chart

CB1 –- Keenan Lewis, Rod Sweeting, A.J. Davis, Trevin Wade

CB2 –- Champ Bailey, Corey White, Patrick Robinson, Terrence Frederick, Derrius Brooks

SS –- Kenny Vaccaro, Rafael Bush

FS –- Jairus Byrd, Marcus Ball

penciled sure fire depth chart

Keenan Lewis, Patrick Robinson, Corey White, Champ Bailey
Kenny Vaccaro, Jairus Byrd, Rafael Bush

on the bubble

Rod Sweeting, A.J. Davis, Trevin Wade, Terrence Frederick, Derrius Brooks, Marcus Ball, * i want to put Bailey in this group but i wont*

that is six spots up for grabs. i see plenty of room for adding and subtracting.

Bailey will have to worry about White first.
