Triplett trades up

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I think we need to spend the majority of our picks on offense. Our offense is the oldest in the NFL with an average age of 26....

The opposite is also true, ever see a group of emo teenagers all in black with makeup etc? They are all striving to be different, however they just end up creating a new same because they are all sharing the same logic.
There might not be one consensus logic for all, but everyone one person needs to find some sort of angle, or logic, as to how he sees it and stick to it. Picking 30 different scenarios is just a cop out. Why not just pick 300 different mocks so no matter who they take, you can say you were right.

That's what's stupid about it. It's not a mock when you do that, it's just a bunch of different guesses, hoping that you might get one right.

Telling me that there are 26 different logic's before us is a silly way of putting it. When you do a mock you are SUPPOSED to be factoring in what you think all the other teams will do and how that will affect what your team does. So you try to gather as much information as is possible and put down you're most likely scenario what you think will happen. You know you might be way off, but that's just the way it is.

When you just guess a billion different things, you aren't applying any reason. And yes, I am posting this after the Saints have taken Cooks, but right to my point I can't give Triplett credit when it was just his latest guess. If it were inside information, then he would have said we're trading up to 20, instead of 19 as he said.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Which is precisely why it can't be done accurately or logically.

When you are running your mock and you get to a team like Dallas's pick...... WTF do you do?

Is Jerry going to go BPA? Is Jerry going to draft need? Or is Jerry going to draft ticket sales? Some of these teams are so dysfunctional you can't apply logic, you have to guess ... WWJD? In all your hours of pondering could you have imagined the Rickey Williams / Ditka pick?

Our offense needs the pick in my opinion
Our team getting conservative on the last drives of games instead of full bore forward certainly hurt us

you can't run three plays up the middle to eat the clock out on the Panthers

we have to have the guts to continue to call aggressive plays

THIS^^^

You nailed it, Cooks gives us another reliable option to pound that final nail into their coffin.
