Junior numbers included 50 tackles and 5 interceptions. Smart, aggressive safety best playing downhill. Patient, quickly locates the ball, and takes good angles to the action. Aggressive, efficient, and wraps up when tackling. Effective facing the action, remains disciplined with assignments, and works well with cornerbacks.

Lacks overall speed, range, and a liability in deep coverage. Marginal athlete.
Analysis: Zimmerman played smart, physical football and got the most out of his ability. He's scheme specific and comes with limited upside but would do well in a zone system and on special teams.
