STRENGTHS Very good movement skill. Outstanding agility -- clocked 4.12-second 20-yard shuttle time and 6.75 3-cone drill time at the pro day. Good instincts. Highly competitive and consistently shows up at the ball. Sacrifices his body around piles and has an all-out special teams mentality. Good football intelligence.

WEAKNESSES Is very small by NFL standards with extremely short arms. Has coverage limitations and is not natural moving in reverse. Lacks the length to leverage the edge and gets chewed up by blockers. Was slowed by a knee injury as a senior, and durability could continue to be an issue. Is over-aged. Did not play on special teams (because of defensive value).

DRAFT PROJECTION Priority free agent

BOTTOM LINE Lined up as an 3-4 outside linebacker in college, but projects as a a run-and-hit, fast-flowing weakside linebacker in a 4-3 defense in the pros. Below-the-line size and arm length, age and injury history will force him to make it as an undrafted free agent. His ticket will have to come on special teams.
