this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Ahh...I just need to vent. :casstet: Brooks' 2 int's hurt so badly but it's hard to blame him when he's getting sacked 4 times. Well, I guess we can only look forward from here. Carolina's gonna be an interesting matchup ...

Well, I guess we can only look forward from here. Carolina's gonna be an interesting matchup and I don't think we can just right them off. Ahead of that, do we sitll have a shot @ going .500? On another note, if anyone knows of giveaways or contests with the NFL, could you post them or PM me? I sign up for just about anything with the idea that I'll eventually win something. One good sweepstakes I've found is through motorola.com/nfl . They've got pro bowl tickets, sweet cell phones, nfl stuff, etc. and they pick winners every two weeks. My kinda odds, but let me know. Is there a positive part I'm missing or am I being pessimistic about this season? |

im not a brooks basher Lifer, but:
maybe he wouldnt be sacked so much if he stepped up in the pocket a few times, or surveyed the field before the snap a little better, or surveyed the field on his drop a little better, or held the ball half cocked as opposed to next to his hip, or knew what a hot route was, or started checking down from his primary choice a little sooner.... this is what i keep seeing week after week, its not getting corrected. my gut tells me its time for AB to move on to a different team and for us to get a QB who suits us a little better. but of course, i dont know who thaat is. |

Drew Brees.
And I\'m not a DRew Brees bandwagonner, I liked the kid when he first subbed in for Flutie. I always thought he was the fall guy for a bad team in SD. Now he has weapons, and is productive. |

But I haven\'t seen much of him personally, only from what I\'ve read and scattered highlights. He still may be a one-year wonder but he\'s displaying the abilities most scouts pegged him with, so I doubt it. I think he\'s maturing into a solid QB and leader. I\'d love to see a new regime persue him. [Edited on 30/11/2004 by Danno] |
