What? Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to shake you up. Things were just a little slow around here today. My bad. :p

He was signed as a TE and yes he was a big target for Drew, and yes he without question made a huge impact in the way the saints play offense but, its only because his role as a TE (as so many others) put him in a position to where he can run down the field and catch passes from one of the nfl's elite qb's. My thing is take the highest paid TE salary, stop trying for this "i was used as a wide receiver more than a TE" notion. For an example as just joe employee i may sometimes do task (on my job) of what a manager or supervisor may or should do however, the owner of the company isnt paying me the manager or supervisor salary. If I dont want to do those task or duties than that's a decission i have to make. When JG was being used as a wide out, was the question raised "am I (JG) going to be compensated as a wide receiver?" If so and he was promised he will receive compensation as such then pay the man, if not then JG I'm sorry you played a TE position that the organization used you in a wide receiver role to better the team. You did what was necessary to make the team better. So now this notion i should get a wide receiver salary doesnt make sense to me maybe someone could shed some light on why i maybe wrong for taking this approach please!

You don't understand Jimmy Graham's position on the matter because he has never stated his position on the matter. Graham has not uttered a single word concerning his tag designation as TE versus WR. He has never even typed a single word about the subject either. Nor has his agent. The only entities to have broached the subject are the NFL (who designated his tag as a TE) and the NFLPA (who basically asked Graham's permission to challenge that designation to attempt to help future designees).

He's a TE. He will be slotted as such. Graham can play for the tag, holdout for a long term deal, or try and get the Saints to trade him. Simple. I'm personally not concerned about it. Loomis and Co. will do what's best for the Saints.

Is he a Wide End or a Tight Receiver? I really don't care. Just like everybody else I want a long term deal worked out and to get on with football

Longer is probably better...there is speculation that Burbank told both parties that they would have some time to work it out, and probably should.

The NFLPA is really pushing on this one, but by going for broke might get nothing

I think you might have this right.

You guys are absolutely right about longer being better, I'm just tired of the suspense.
