If Meachem can't get on the field, he isn't going to make the team.

^ PT was knocked out though. Hard to blame a guy for not holding the ball when he is literally unconscious.
I don't judge Ingram based on that one fumble. I will say that we have gone into offseasons before believing that he has turned the corner (2012 most notably) and he fell flat on his face. Pretty safe to say he's on his last chance. |

Unfortunately it happened but the fact of "we could have won that game" stretches far beyond ingrams fumble - Brees missed several wide open receivers in that game, Jimmy Graham dropped at least 3 passes and the defense was on the field entirely too long Mistakes happen but one fumble has not jeapordised Ingram's chances, after this season he will most likely get an extension for 2 more years anyway because he knows the offense and we'll be able to sign him for a decent amount |

Re: Which players are on the bubble?
I wasn't referring to his one fumble, I was referring to his history of inconsistent play. I want to believe he's turned it around. We'll soon find out.

When he was surrounded and pummeled by 3 defenders 3 yards behind the LOS, he didn't gain much. When the O-line actually blocked, he performed well. |

Re: Which players are on the bubble?
Bubble Players
Marcel Jones - been injured and on the practice squad. If he doesn't prove himself this pre-season, I think he gets the axe with other talent around Travaris Cadet - with the beast that is Khiry Robinson, we have three legitimate running backs. Plus Brandin Cooks can fill the "Sproles" role for this team, so the 4th running back spot may be negated, allowing someone else at another position to make the team instead Kenyuta Dawson - a lot of young players at the OLB position. Dawson could be cut allowing someone like Ronald Powell the opportunity to show what he can do Corey White - with the staff playing him at Safety this offseason, does that mean they don't necessarily have the confidence in him going forward as a #2-4 CB? If so, with so much competition at Safety, and some dewcent players at CB, White could find himself out of a job if other players step their game up and he doesn't |

Honestly, I think they expect P-Rob to win the job anyway and Bailey is probably set as the nickel/slot guy. I don't think that reflects poorly on Corey White, we just have a very strong group of corners. |

Re: Which players are on the bubble?
Not getting into another Ingram discussion, let's just say we disagree on some points and leave it there.
