Re: Saints’ “No-Fly Zone” Secondary Might be NFL’s Best in 2014
At the moment, we are undefeated and haven't given up jack!
How all the hype transitions into real coverage, real tackles and real turnovers still has to be seen. I'm just glad somebody back there is taller than 5' 10". The back will only have success if we have good success up front. If we are giving QB's 5, 6, 7+ seconds, there won't be a No-Fly-Zone. If the corners and safeties have to bang ALL afternoon in run support, there won't be a No-Fly-Zone. 7+4 or 6+5, if we are not getting after opposing QB's, and making tackles up front, we will have to score 35 every week, and then toss a coin. |

Have the Saints ever had a great secondary before? To my recollection we haven't. It was definetely mediocre during Dome Patrol days. See Flipper Anderson. As far as nicknames go it's too soon for that. Will this group be known for head hunting, INTs, pick 6s or simply making stops? Well see. But of the names mentioned I like the Wrecking Krewe.

Wish we could see them in a game before they get a nick name.
