If the corners and safeties have to bang ALL afternoon in run support, there won't be a No-Fly-Zone.
7+4 or 6+5, if we are not getting after opposing QB's, and making tackles up front,
we will have to score 35 every week, and then toss a coin.
These are my thoughts exactly. If we have to rush 7 to get to the QB or if we have to keep 8 in the box to stop the run the secondary will struggle regardless of who's back there. Now if we can get teams to third and long consistently and pressure the QB with 3 or 4 guys then our secondary will have a chance to rack up a bunch of INTs. Have the Saints ever had a great secondary before? To my recollection we haven't. It was definetely mediocre during Dome Patrol days. See Flipper Anderson. As far as nicknames go it's too soon for that. Will this group be known for head hunting, INTs, pick 6s or simply making stops? Well see. But of the names mentioned I like the Wrecking Krewe.
