Sorry for your loss B Dub.
I lost my father in 2010. The pain isn't something that ever goes away, but with time come perspective.
I have enjoyed seeing the values he taught me manifesting in my own son.
He stays alive in those things.
God Bless Brother.

Re: RIP to my father

I know what it is like. In my case it was my father-in-law, but he was as much my dad as anyone had ever been. I try to honor him by treating other people the way he would have, every day. It's made me a much better person.

If you need to talk through something feel free to send me a message.

May the LORD comfort you in your loss B Dub. I lost my father when I was 7. Don't remember much of him. I have a lot of people tell me I'm just like him so in a way he lives on through me. May God Bless you and your family.

Re: RIP to my father

Sorry for your loss. My dad also a huge Saints fan never got to see us win the bowl. He died suddenly the year before at 56. He looked like he was 40 and I watched him do 60 push-ups two months before he died. I tell all my friends to "go fishing with your dad" because you never know.

Re: RIP to my father

Both my parents are alive so I take it for granted.

But I dreamed last night that my wife texted me that my dad committed suicide.

Wow, that affected me way more than I thought it would, and it was just a nightmare.

I need to take him fishing more often.
