No doubt he needs to get more consistent. And I wasn't trying to sound like president of his fan club. I just think we've seen so little of him at this point it's probably not fair to make any judgements yet either way.
Just from watching the few plays from last year he was involved though, I'm excited. He's almost a perfect hybrid of Colston and Meachem. Imagine a guy with good deep speed who can also out-jump DB's in the end zone. I might even argue that at least in terms of pure physical tools, he's the closest thing to a prototype #1 receiver we have. Colston is big but slow, Stills and Cooks are fast but small. Toon is the only guy on the roster who really combines size and speed (other than perhaps guys like Coleman or Seantavius Jones, but we've seen nothing of them yet). |
