You are incorrect. He was looking right at the ball, it just went over his head. Nothing you can do about a perfectly thrown ball like that.

Nah. Not incorrect. Just a different opinion. He was face guarding. They just showed the replay on the way to commercial. He thought he could cause the receiver to catch it out of bounds instead of making a play on the ball.

Both. Was a pin point throw, but he didnt make a play on it and what you wrote here looks spot on for me.
