Sorry, its my defense mechanism. This is starting to feel like 2007 and 2012 and my old ticker just can't take it.

But the way things are going this bizarro season we may actually run more, not less. Wouldn't shock me.

I have faith in Robinson and Cadet. PT is a given of course.

Every time you think this dude is about to turn into the back he was always supposed to be, he gets hurt.

In theory we should be fine with Khiry and PT, although I worry that not having Ingram in the rotation will cause Payton to slip into his pass-happy tendencies.

Wouldn't he have to slip OUT of his pass happy tendencies before he can slip back into them?

Sean Payton is forcing Ingram to say he is hurt so he can pass 70 times/game.

This is why we have running backs and not a running back.

Some interesting notes I am using to temper my enthusiasm about our running game. I hope its merely coincidence.

Browns sold out the run to stop the big pass play:
The Browns made it their mission to shut down New Orleans' downfield passing game. At times Cleveland had seven defensive backs on the field at once -- a tactic that frustrated Drew Brees into a sack and interception in the first half.

Bengals put up 170 yards rushing against Atlanta:

To temper your temper (playing devil's advocate)

That's exactly what the Saints need to happen. I hope it happens a lot. The Saints have the run game to take advantage of that of that for the first time in...well, forever. It's up to Payton to make teams pay for selling out one part of their defense.

Bengals put up 170 yards rushing against Atlanta:

Bengals led from early on. They rushed a LOT. The Saints averaged a yard a carry more then the Bengals. Ingram averaged 4.6 yards/carry. Giovani Bernard averaged 3.3. As a matter of fact, all three Saints RBs averaged more than a yard per carry more than Bernard.
