Re: After further Review: Examining why the Saints defense stinks
The defense played a bit better in Cleveland, giving up 19 points and far less yards than in Atlanta. (7 of the 26 points Cleveland scored stemmed from a bad Drew Brees throw).
Maybe our defense is a work in progress and maybe it's improving. I predict when all is said and done, our defense will end up ranked #17th or so, and our offense will end up ranked #1 or #2. We go 12-4 and lock up the number one seed. No, I'm not delusional, I'm not drunk, I'm not insane, and I'm not using drugs. |

Our defense stinks because the defensive game plan makes players hold their nose.

Champ played for 19 snaps of game 4. He had 1 tackle. He was thrown at twice and gave up one reception for 7 yards. Doesn't look like he was a big part of how the Saints looked during pre season. |
