But that's only happened once that I can remember. We blow them out again and again, and the reason is because while they put up some yards on us, Romo is one of those guys that gets a little too comfortable in the pocket and it allows even poor pass rushing teams to get to him and that's where you have all the turnovers. And defensively, they absolutely have no answer for us.

That being said, as long as we take care of the ball the usual traits should take over in this game as well. I expected a better offensive showing today, by far, but we own the crap out of the Cowgirls. This would figure to be the game to get it going if it's ever going to happen.
The only time we've beat the cowboys easily was last year

2012 matchup went to overtime where colston fumbled but luckily was recovered by Graham
2010 Malcolm Jenkins forces fumble with 2 mins left to go and the cowboys leading, we win 31-27
They beat us in a shootout in 2009 for our first loss

Believe me, it will be a close game and I hate close games

Hate to say it but we just dont look like we are playing with passion this year. I dont what the deal is. It was pretty obvious that after Brees got slammed, the team finally woke up.

The offensive line didn't even stand up for Brees after he got slammed until he got up and went after the defender

Ref was looking directly at it and threw the flag before brees was even on the ground, akiem Hicks did the same thing to Andrew luck and got called straight away.

Re: On to the Cowboys

We beat them 42-17 in '06 and the loss in '09, which was our only loss to them in the last 9 meetings, was 24-17... hardly a shootout. In 2012 we weren't even good and we still got a big lead and then just sat on it. We didn't sit on a big lead the next time we played them.

The Cowboys are perfectly suited for being pummeled by the Saints. Where we are strong they are weak. Where we are weak, they have greater weaknesses that mask their strengths. For instance, they have some good players on offense, but because they are so bad on defense they become one dimensional on offense, as they are always playing from behind. Then there's the Romo issues I mentioned before. That allows our defense to tee off, and offensively, as I said, they have no answer to stop us. There are other good offenses that they struggle with, but other than '09 where we slept through the first 3 quarters, we have been their kryptonite. That's why in my opinion this game represents the greatest test of where this team is mentally. If we can't pressure Romo, then our defense is truly bad and not just in a funk. And if we struggle against that defense then obviously we've got problems.

I don't anticipate that we'll struggle on offense, but I really want to see us get after Romo. We'll give up some plays like we always do, but if we force them into mistakes and get out to a nice early lead we should take control.

Re: On to the Cowboys

3 of 8 possessions resulting in a score against a team that lesser offenses torched.

The defense looked like a big 10 unit - can shut down a Kent State but unable to compete with any SEC team.

For me, this game gave no indication that any ship was righted. We have played 3 teams projected to have losing records this season and about to play a 4th. Lose to the Cowgirls and it's likely over. 1-4 (Bucs are not as bad as Atlanta made them look) means that the 4th division of the Latvian soccer leagues will be more compelling.

What happened to Louisiana Football?

When have projections ever come true?
The eagles were supposed to go undefeated with their dream team - didn't happen
The broncos were projected to outscore Seattle in the Superbowl - didn't happen

Just remember that football is any given Sunday

Our offense had kind of an off day, but did enough to win the game, credit the D for not allowing a TD all game

Here's an example - 2011 we beat the colts without manning 62-7, the following week we lose to the rams 28-14
We still won the NFC south that year and had probably the best offense in NFL history

The offense has put up decent numbers for 2 weeks straight, they had kind of an off day yesterday but that's normal, it will get sorted.

TODAYS DEFENSES ISNT DESIGN TO WIN GAMES! if you dont believe me ask the denver fans. yesterday seattle (no. 1defense) held denver at bay for pretty much the entire game however it came down to a 59sec drive and a two score situation for denver to go into ot. now what does that has to do with anything you asked?, well let me tell you if denver scores prior till that situation they wouldnt have to pull out a miracle to even go into ot. their defense played too good for them to have to score with 59 sec. left. now the flip side to my arguement is this. if you have an opportunity to win the game on offense please do so what i mean by that well let's go back to the seattly and denver game. in ot seattle got the ball first with the understanding if we score a t.d. game over period there's no need to put our no.1 defense back out on the field (at home) to have them stop peyton manning and the crew lets end it now and what do seattle do, exactly what i always say win the freaking game on offense move the ball score game over period. now no one is talking about the near miracle peyton almost came up with they're only saying seattle won in ot.
Offense was not stagnant for first 2 weeks of the season, we struggled yesterday slightly but it happens from time to time

Seriously though, most people don't read your posts if you keep putting caps lock and going on rants, just saying...

Me either. I keep seeing people say that our defense improved, but we were playing against a rookie QB AT HOME so yea we had better looked better. I think if Cassel had stayed in we would be 0-3 right now. How many plays did you see where a receiver dropped the ball when our guys had blown coverage. Thank god the guy couldn't throw because if he could at least two of those incomplete passes would be TDs.
