Re: RGIII as Drew's Successor ?
I'll stand alone in this thread by saying yes, I'll take him. Brees was broken when we got him. He was never really spectacular in San Diego. Not the way he was when he came here and got under Payton. RG3 needs a change of scenery.

I would argue Sean Payton knows how to coach QBs better than anyone in the league. If there's anybody out there that could turn RG3 into a great QB, it's Payton. I'm actually with rezburna here. I wouldn't be opposed to at least bringing him in. |

Re: RGIII as Drew's Successor ?
Since 2010 some folks have called Brees "over the hill" or "noodle arm" and the debate about who to replace him starteed. It's like after all those years of awful quarterbacks we finally get one and some Saints fans are ready to bury him in a grave!
So NO, not RGIII. We either draft anew year before Drew retires or bring in the best veteran replacement that Sean Payton wants when the time comes. |

Re: RGIII as Drew's Successor ?
I'd rather Kirk Cousins or Colt McCoy a traditional pocket QB. Someone who will stay in there and stare down a hit coming if need be to make the pass.
Not the second coming of Michael Vick who is always looking to run 1st chance he gets. I respectfully say no |

Re: RGIII as Drew's Successor ?
Child please. Putting one's eggs in the RGIII basket is waaaaaay to risky...injuries, depending on him for the game plan to work, also the possiblity of him being healthy enough to play but not healthy enough to get the job done (as shown in the Skins only playoffs appearance with him). Do you really want the Saints future riding on some medical controversy over whether or not his knee/leg/ribs/concussion was suitable for him to be in the game or not? That dude is going to have doctors and lawyers and sports writers following him around, second-guessing and creating injury controversies for the rest of his career. Has he even played a full season yet?
