What Brees does in terms of accuracy can't be taught, the man is special. Almost impossible to find that kind of QB. Look, we found a Rolex washed up on the beach. RGIII is no Rolex. More like a broken top of the line Seiko.

RG3, as a pure passer, is very accurate. Dude can pick his spots. The problem with RG3 is that he doesn't go through his progressions and he makes bad decisions with the ball. But things like that are coachable, Payton can correct those.

Obviously it is hard to follow a great QB, but off the top of my head, some effective replacements at the QB position:
Montana - Young (which you already mentioned)
Manning - Luck
Farve - Rodgers
Majkowski - Favre
Jaworski - Cunningham
Bledsoe - Brady (turned out even better)
Lamonica - Stabler

There are others that could be mentioned as well...

In any case, I wouldn't mind seeing Griffin here... the young man needs a change of scenery, and letting his knee heal. I compare Griffin's situation in DC with the situation Ricky Williams was pulled into when Ditka brought him to NO: expected to be the savior of the franchise, then run aground and back-stabbed by the HC.

The only problem I see with bringing Griffin to NO, is that Drew still has a few years left, and I don't think Griffin would stay more than 2-3 years on the bench without someone giving him the chance to start.

I will also say, when Griffin came out of college, I didn't think he was all that, but I thought he had the physical tools and accuracy to be successful, had he landed in a decent place, which was not the case.
