Defensive Prospects I'm liking...

DE/DT Arik Armstead, 6-7/292, Jr, Oregon

Really, really like this guy's size, speed; ideally suited to play 34 end; would love to see us take him and move Hicks into a rotation position between end and nose tackle keeping those big boys fresh all game...

LB Zach Hodges, 6-2/230, Sr, Harvard

Great Motor; has great acceleration to complement his short area burst; while stamina is questioned, he plays for Harvard so it's not like he's got depth are other players to complement him...

CB Marcus Peters, 6-0/198, Jr, Washington

Playmaker with good size/strength combination; we may be taking another cornerback early...

LB Benardrick McKinney, 6-4/245, Jr, Mississippi St

Has the athleticism to play three downs; but keep thinking of a certain linebacker we selected form Illinois who was willing to play his balls off but failed to grasp the game; am watching his development, progression very closely...

LB Kris Frost, 6-2/238, rJr, Auburn

Linebacker showing instincts and 3 down athletic ability - hmmm; better keep an eye on this one...

CB Lorenzo Doss, 5-11/189, Jr, Tulane

Yeah, I'm a Homer, but this kid can play and he's accomplished alot on some not-yet-ready-for-primetime Tulane teams...

CB Jalen Collins, 6-1/195, rJr, LSU

His athleticism and size are great; can he improve his technique to become a pro bowl corner?!? Only concern is that he's another Morris Claiborne...

LB Derrick Malone, 6-2/216, rSr, Oregon

Smart guy who's continued to improve and surge; needs to put on some pounds and show no drop off in quickness...

NT Danny Shelton, 6-2/332, Sr, Washington

A smart defensive tackle, he may better suited to a 43 3 Tech, but the guy can play and he could step right in should Hicks not be re-signable...

FS Justin Cox, 6-2/190, Sr, Mississippi State

Good size, length; has shown ball hawk instincts; this is a guy to target with a fourth round pick...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
