I knew it was going to be a long season when the Falcons drove the length of the field in fifty seconds at the end of the first half, back in week one. I told my wife, we probably wont make the playoffs this year.

They'll get a win against the Bucs and it might even be a blowout type win, but they're at home against a bad bucs team...

The tough part about all this:

This was the easy part of the season. I had us at worse 4-1 til the bye week. After the bye week every game will be against a tough opponent. Think about that for a minute; this was the easy part of the season...

Think he meant, we're missing a healthy NT Jenkins. But, too bad we let Safety Jenkins go to star for Eagles this year. Nice INT again this week. I loved the guys since that play for the Saints when he ran a Dallas WR down and took the ball from him just before he could cross the goal line. He still looked stunned minutes later on the sidelines. Never gave up, that Jenkins.

Not to me. Vent all you want. But, you guys will be back here next week -- I feel pretty sure. It's painful, but WTF, just get your bag out and try to enjoy it.

Just win next week and then regroup during the Bye week. We have some extremely tough games ahead of us! Packers and Bengals at home will be tough, Lions in Detroit.. wow.

PS: I don`t at all expect the Bucs game to be a blowout. I`ve watched them quiet a bit against the Steelers and they brought some nasty pressure right up the middle which is never good for Drew.

Glad to see we're sitting NT Jenkins until he fully heals. Would be a shame if this season goes as we fear and we look back and see when it was "over" but also saw us taking ill-advised risks to save a season that was "over." Save 'em for a season with more hope.

If it is or is about to be over, let's hope the coaches recognize it soon and begin risking (little) by playing many. Take advantage of a lost season to see if we have someone already on the team who can start but isn't yet...like a LB who can tackle. During a bad season with Ditka, we found Sammy Knight and started the UDFA.

If it's not over already, it can get worse. IF Armstead is out for any length of time, we're going to regret our foolishness in (not) drafting serious OL prospects (OT Rooks in the 6th was not serious) or at least paying for one in free agency. Bryce Harris starting? Ugh.

Nice reminder. For real Saints fans, it's never over as long as we can at least root for ATL to lose.
