Re: I have been quiet
It was glaringly obvious that Brees cannot throw the long ball. The largest portion of routes are reliant on him being able to get the ball out of his hands quickly. Yet time and again, we all see him tap dancing in the pocket and waiting. Deep receivers are being under thrown with regularity now and it's not a mistake.
Bottom line: #9's shelf life is at an end. Time to groom the heir apparent to take over. |

Re: I have been quiet
I couldn't help but notice the Irony of all of the exact things we've been critical of, including particular players on this team, all held true to form a week after I read numerous comments of some sanctimonious fans calling said criticism an over reaction. I wonder what those people think now.
I feel the same way. Irritated, and yet hardly surprised. If you have a clue, you could see through last week's win. There's no excuse for any of this, and there isn't anything you can say other than we are bad. All the pieces are there, but it's almost as if they don't want it. It's easier when you can identify obvious holes and lack of talent. But this is just downright shameful. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

One of those fans is me.
And yes many comments here were overreactions and there will be more this week. If you're fishing for an apology, don't hold your breath. This team just hit rock bottom. Anyone can see that. Anyone can "point out" what's wrong. I still believe this team is too talented to roll over and die with 12 games left - 5 of those being division games. |

Re: I have been quiet
Rob Ryan has brought negative karma. How does he expect his players to g.a.s. if he doesn't appear to g.a.s. about himself.

Re: I have been quiet
This is silly. Buddy Ryan had a gut too and he coached the 85 Bears D. They carried him not Iron Mike off the field after winning the title. Mike Holmgren, John Madden, more chubby Super Bowl winning coaches. Rob Ryan don't gotta run or tackle. He's gotta get our guys in the right position to get athletes to make plays. He can do that just fine. He was probably able to disguise glaring talent weaknesses last year with cute schemes and teams have figured him out YES. Eventually you need talent and we have below average LBs, one starting CB and maybe two good D-lineman(Hicks, Cam) and I said it last year, Vaccarro-way overrated-Bush is better.

Re: I have been quiet
Yeah that fake punt was a joke... almost reminds me of the Saints of old.
I also agree look if you are going for it put in your Hall of Fame QB to throw the ball not a punter geez! There was more innovation on the Cowboys D than the over hyped Saints new innovated/revamped D. What a joke. |
